GuildWard is built to secure community access without turning verification into a behavioral advertising business or a global identity-tracking network.
No advertising business model
No ads. On any plan. Ever. Verification pages contain no sponsored CAPTCHA placements, affiliate redirects or marketing pixels. Even Free is completely advertisement-free. A small “Secured by GuildWard” footer identifies the service protecting the route; it is not an ad.
No global identity graph
GuildWard does not build a global alt-account database by default. Community evidence stays scoped to the organization and Discord server that has a lawful reason to use it. GuildWard does not create a cross-server behavioral profile for advertising.
Minimum required evidence
Flows ask for the level of assurance needed by the requested access—not every available signal. Discord identifiers, step results, access state and accountable operational evidence are separated from raw credentials and unnecessary profile copies.
Ephemeral content processing
Eligible activity sent to Smart Shield is processed for security classification, excluded from general logs and reduced to structured indicators needed by the configured policy and review route. GuildWard avoids unnecessary raw IP retention and permanent browser fingerprinting.
No AI training on customer content
Customer content is not used to train Smart Shield models. Smart Shield returns structured security categories and indicators instead of retaining a general-purpose archive of Discord conversation.
Provider-hosted age and identity checks
Supported Age Assurance and Identity Verification happen in the external specialist's hosted experience. GuildWard does not receive or store the identity-document or biometric images used by supported verification providers. It stores the minimum threshold/result, provider reference and expiry needed by the flow.
Age Declaration is a member statement. Age Assurance is a provider result about a configured threshold. Neither should be described as more certain than the method supports.
Retention and deletion
Plan retention controls define operational history, while credential-like continuations remain short-lived. Customers configure appropriate evidence and handle lawful deletion/export requests with GuildWard support. Security, legal-claim and mandatory retention exceptions are explained in the legal notices.
Responsibilities stay visible
Communities remain responsible for their rules, lawful basis, questions, reviewer decisions and member communications. GuildWard acts in different legal roles for customer accounts, security operations and customer-configured member processing; the detailed analysis appears in the Privacy Policy.
Transparent providers
The Subprocessor and External Provider List identifies services involved in authentication, CAPTCHA, hosting and approved verification methods. New providers follow the applicable notice and contract process.
